Looking for an awkward third wheel?
I'm Abigail Newman; Abby for short! I'm a mom, wife, blogger, adventurer, animal loving, photographer located among the mountains in a tiny, one stoplight town in Virginia!
I do this photography thing with my husband, Jerry. Traveling the world and capturing raw, dramatic landscapes is what floored my passion for photography. It wasn't until I fell in love and became a mom that I discovered the moments of joy and laughter that left me in awe and made my love for lifestyle photography come to life. Seeing the raw connection between families and lovers makes my heart so very happy! I don't want you to remember a posed, stiff face in your photos, I want you to look at my work and smile because you remember exactly how you felt during the session. Anyone can have you stare soullessly into the camera and snap a picture. That’s not you. That’s not how you and your loved ones feel about each other.
The teasing, booty grabbing, the snorting laughs, the awful dancing, spinning until your dizzy and crying from laughter. Even the pouting faces of your kids and when they follow their one track mind and go off course, let's follow them and capture their imagination! If you are ready to wander down a trail, hike a mountain, be your silly self, dance in the sun and watch it go down, then contact me, ask me out and I’ll take you on a really awesome date and be the best third wheel you can imagine!
“If there’s even a slight chance at getting something that will make you happy, risk it. Life’s too short, and happiness is too rare.”
Say hello to my zoo!
When I am not behind a camera, I am either grooming a dog or helping them out! I am a professional dog groomer, and run my own business out of the laundry room in my house. It’s cute and not as sketchy as it just sounded. Promise. I also work at a local spay and neuter clinic part time! I prefer animals over people 10/10. Just kidding!!! Or am I?
Here are aaalll of my fur-babies! Dixon(Catahoula Leopard Dog), Jax(fat potato, oops I mean beagle mix), Kenai(the insane/hyper Husky mix, named after the majestic Kenai, Alaska (plus Brother Bear because duh)). They were all from rescues and are mildly annoying, but they lay on my feet and keep them warm when I am forever cold, so I keep them around. You’ve also got my cats pictured, Leo and Livie. I also have a Bearded Dragon, Toothless.
