HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT

When I’m behind my camera, I’m looking to snap those subtle, between, quiet moments, as well as the big, loud, emotionally wrapped moments. A snuggle from your little one in the warmth of the sun, all the way to happy tears from your momma as you walk down the isle with your dad on your wedding day. Anyone can learn the basics of photography and ask some folk to stare emotionless into the camera. If that’s what you came for, I don’t want to disappoint you. That’s not me. I’m gonna make you move, spin, dance, laugh. I deliver some of the fuzzy, blurry, grainy, “not perfect” images. Those moments show movement and laughs that were unplanned and real. They are perfectly imperfect to me and they make my heart sing! If you’re just here shopping for a cheap deal, I am definitely not that, sorry. I want your experience to be designed perfectly for you and you deserve a photographer that will fit all of your needs. Your time with me won’t be forced, fake smiles. Your wedding dress might not be perfectly flat all the time, and your hair may get messed up. I’ll have some cheesy prompts, and I won’t leave you hanging, but forget everything you think you know, and just practice your piggyback rides and dance moves instead. Honestly, the more unprepared you are, the better. Real moments are what matter, I promise.

VALUE
I am providing a service, but I want to feel like a friend to you first. Not just another vendor. I want to be more than that to you. Photos, to me, are one of the most valuable material items you can own. When your busy picking out a dress and other wedding stuff, you don’t realize it, but photography is truly the only investment that lasts past your wedding day; really any session for that matter. It’s the only thing that actually increases in value over time. One day, that’s all you’ll have aside from your memory, which can fade: Pictures.

Connection

it’s how the magic is made

I’m real easy to connect with. I am open minded and honestly more awkward and inappropriate than you could ever be, so try to eliminate that excuse. I am forever hearing “I’m so awkward and we hate having our picture taken” before a session, though I’ve never had anyone leave their session feeling the same way.

“My boyfriend and I did a couples shoot earlier this fall and it was so great! Abby has a special knack for photography and it shows. Neither of us are the picture taking type: we were clueless about pretty much every aspect of a couples shoot. Abby did great, though! She was laid back and made us feel like we had known her for quite some time, which made the whole experience so smooth. Abby has a great eye for unconventional poses and knows the perfect positioning. She’ll keep an eye out for out of place hairs in one shot then give the hair a good tousle for the next... and both shots turn out equally great. Additionally, she has scoped out the perfect picture taking spots in the NRV, which provide the perfect back drop! We got our photos back in less than a week and got our prints (excellent quality) delivered to our mailbox quickly, too! Edits are exceptional. We especially liked that her shots look candid, not posed, and that the edits had a natural feel! She did such an awesome job with this clueless, non-picture-taking picture couple— haha. Her prices are very affordable when compared to others of this high quality. We highly recommend Abby and are so thankful for her shared talents! Thank you, Abigail Newman Photography!” -Lindsay Graham
